How to cancel Apple TV+

How are you billed?
Apple TV+ can be cancelled direct, Apple and Amazon — and the steps are completely different. Check the last charge on your statement if you are not sure.
Cancelling Apple TV+ directly

Open Manage subscriptions
Select Apple TV+
Choose Cancel Subscription

- What happens after you cancel
- You keep watching until the next billing date, and nothing further is charged after that. The exception is worth checking before you assume you are done. Apple sells some subscriptions on a commitment — typically bundled with a device or a trade-in offer — and cancelling one of those does NOT stop the payments: you are billed for the remaining instalments until the commitment is fulfilled, and keep access for that whole time. If the plan came with hardware, look at the commitment before treating the cancellation as the end of the cost. Downloads from the service stop playing when access does; anything you bought outright from Apple is separate and stays yours.

Cancelling Apple TV+ through Apple

Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, then tap your name
On the web, go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions
Select the subscription, then Cancel Subscription

- At least 1 day before your renewal date. Apple requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

- Confirmation email.
- What happens after you cancel
- You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for — Apple does not refund the unused part, and cancelling early does not end it sooner. The subscription disappears from your Apple subscriptions list on that date. Two things this does not do: it does not close your account with the service, so anything stored there stays where it is, and it does not get you a refund. Refunds for Apple-billed subscriptions are asked for at reportaproblem.apple.com, not from the merchant, who genuinely cannot issue one.

Cancelling Apple TV+ through Amazon

Open Your Memberships & Subscriptions on Amazon
Find the subscription and select Manage subscription
Choose to end the subscription and confirm
- Notice period
- None — cancelling takes effect straight away.
- How you will know it worked
- Confirmation email.
- What happens after you cancel
- Access runs to the end of the current billing period and Amazon shows you that date when you confirm — write it down, because it is the day to check your statement. Nothing is refunded for the unused part. This ends the subscription only: your Amazon account, and your account with the service itself, are both untouched.

Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
