Check how many channels the free tier leaves you
- Notice period
- None — cancelling takes effect straight away.
- How you will know it worked
- Confirmation email.
- What happens after you cancel
- Buffer bills per CHANNEL, so the free tier leaves you with far fewer connected accounts and the rest are disconnected — along with anything queued to them. Posts you had scheduled to a dropped channel do not go out, and nothing tells you at the time. Look at the queue before you cancel. Your social accounts are unaffected; Buffer only loses permission to post to them. Published posts stay published. The analytics and engagement history are paid features and the free tier keeps much less of it, so export any reporting you need. An annual plan runs to the end of its term.

What else are you paying for?
Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
