Cancelling DocuSign

About 20 minutes · Hard

  1. Download every completed envelope you need

Signed documents and their certificates of completion are the record. Take copies.

  2. Sign in at account.docusign.com and open Plan and Billing

  3. Cancel the plan

Larger or negotiated agreements go through an account representative instead.

  4. Check the renewal date if you are on an annual plan

What happens after you cancel
DOWNLOAD YOUR SIGNED DOCUMENTS FIRST. Everything you have executed through DocuSign — the signed PDFs and the certificates of completion that prove who signed and when — lives in the account, and the account is what you are ending. Those certificates are the audit trail that makes an electronic signature defensible, so take copies of both, not just the PDFs. The signatures themselves remain legally valid after you cancel; ending the subscription does not undo a signed agreement. What you lose is the place they are stored. Self-service plans cancel from Plan and Billing. Annual plans run to the end of the term and auto-renew, so the renewal date is the thing to find; negotiated agreements are handled by a representative and follow whatever notice the contract sets rather than a standard rule.

Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
