Open the team's Settings, then Billing
Select Change plan
Downgrade to Starter and confirm

- What happens after you cancel
- Nothing is deleted, and that is not the same as nothing going wrong. The free Starter plan allows one folder per team, three design files in it and three pages per file — and if your team is over those limits when you downgrade, Figma LOCKS it and stops you editing. Your work is sitting there, visible and untouchable, until you either come back to a paid plan or get under the limits. So tidy up or export before you downgrade rather than after. Version history shortens to the last 30 days, though older versions are not destroyed and reappear if you upgrade again, and any site you published through Figma is automatically unpublished.
