Only the family manager can cancel a shared Play Pass.
Note which apps go back to paid or ad-supported
- Notice period
- None — cancelling takes effect straight away.
- How you will know it worked
- Confirmation email.
- What happens after you cancel
- Play Pass unlocks apps rather than giving them to you, so cancelling puts every one of them back to how it is normally sold: paid apps stop opening, and free apps get their adverts and in-app purchases back. Your save data usually stays on the device or in Google Play Games, so buying an app later generally picks up where you left off — but that is the app's doing, not Play Pass's. Access runs to the end of the period already paid for. If Play Pass is shared with a family group, only the family manager can cancel it, and cancelling removes it for everybody at once.

What else are you paying for?
Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
