Find your renewal date and read your agreement

Sign in and open your account, then billing
Submit the cancellation and keep written confirmation of the date
Chase it if no confirmation arrives

- None — cancelling takes effect straight away. Terms renew automatically; the notice required before the renewal date is set by your agreement.

- What happens after you cancel
- The date matters more than the button. Hootsuite is sold on terms that RENEW AUTOMATICALLY and require notice before the renewal date — miss it and you have not lost a month, you have committed to another term. Find your renewal date first, read what your own agreement says about notice, and act well before it. Get the cancellation confirmed IN WRITING with the effective date on it. If no confirmation arrives, assume it did not happen and chase it; a cancellation you cannot evidence is the one that turns into a disputed renewal. Export your scheduled posts and your analytics before access ends — the reporting history is the part you cannot rebuild. Your social accounts themselves are yours and are unaffected; disconnecting Hootsuite does not touch them.
