- Notice period
- None — cancelling takes effect straight away. Contracted plans renew automatically; seat and usage pricing means the amount owed can change before it ends.
- How you will know it worked
- Support ticket reply.
- What happens after you cancel
- REMOVE THE MESSENGER FROM YOUR SITE before the subscription ends. If the widget is still embedded when access stops, customers see a support channel that either fails or goes unanswered — which is worse than having no chat at all. That is a code change, so give it lead time. Export the conversation history and your contacts. Intercom holds the record of what customers asked and what you told them, and on the paid plans it also holds your help centre — years of articles that need somewhere else to live, and URLs that stop resolving if the centre is on your domain. Intercom's pricing moves with seats and with how many people you message, so check what the account is actually billing before you assume the number. Contracted plans renew automatically and need notice; find the date in your agreement.

Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
