Twelve consecutive months earns a perpetual fallback licence. Eleven earns nothing.

Turn off the automatic renewal

- JetBrains gives you something for staying, and the threshold is exact: TWELVE CONSECUTIVE MONTHS of a paid individual subscription earns a PERPETUAL FALLBACK LICENCE — a permanent right to use the version that was current twelve months before your subscription ended, offline, for as long as you like. Cancel at eleven months and you get nothing. If you are close to a yearly mark, that is a real reason to wait. Check which version your fallback covers before you cancel, because that is the version you keep. It will not receive updates, and new versions will not open with it. Turning off auto-renewal leaves the subscription running to the end of the term you have paid for. The IDE settings and your projects are files on your machine and are not affected either way.
