Turn off automatic renewal

- Save data is the whole story here, and there is a deadline on it. Anything saved on the console itself keeps working — you can carry on playing those games normally. What you lose is Save Data Cloud: the backups on Nintendo's servers become unreachable when the membership ends. They are NOT deleted immediately. Nintendo stores them for 180 DAYS, and resubscribing inside that window gives them back. After 180 days they are gone. If you have a console you are moving away from, or a save that only exists in the cloud, bring it down to local storage before the membership lapses. The classic NES, SNES and other retro libraries stop being playable, as does online play. Games you actually bought are unaffected.
