- Export your collections and environments as JSON before you downgrade. They are the accumulated knowledge of how your APIs actually work, and they export cleanly — so this is a five-minute job that removes all the risk. Postman bills per seat, so the bill follows the number of people on the team rather than the plan alone. Removing inactive members is a different action from cancelling and is often what you actually want. A continuing charge after cancelling usually means a second team. Downgrading keeps your collections and reduces what the team can do together: fewer collaborators, tighter limits on collection runs, mocks and monitors, and the loss of the governance and single sign-on features. Published API documentation hosted by Postman is a paid feature on the higher tiers, so check whether anything public depends on it.
