A fixed-term membership cannot be ended here — that one needs Member Services.
Check when the last payment falls
- Notice period
- At least 30 days before your renewal date. A flexible monthly membership can be cancelled any time, but not within five days of a due direct debit.
- How you will know it worked
- Confirmation email.
- What happens after you cancel
- Timing decides whether you pay one more month. If you are WITHIN FIVE DAYS of a direct debit falling due, PureGym will not let you cancel online until that payment has gone through — and once a payment has been taken or requested, the membership stays active for that month and ends on the next payment date instead. So cancelling just before a payment date does not stop that payment. Cancel earlier in the month if you want it to be your last. A fixed-term membership cannot be cancelled in the Members Area at all; that one goes through Member Services. If the reason is a quiet few months rather than leaving, PureGym's pause keeps your current price and waives the joining fee when you come back — worth comparing before you cancel outright.
