- What happens after you cancel
- PHONE NUMBERS RENT BY THE MONTH whether or not a single message goes through them. Twilio is pay-as-you-go, so there is no plan to cancel — the recurring charge is the numbers themselves, plus short codes and any registered messaging services. Releasing every number is the action that stops the money. AUTO-RECHARGE is the other one. If the account tops itself up from a card when the balance runs low, it will keep doing that after you stop paying attention. Turn it off explicitly. Releasing a number is IRREVERSIBLE — once released it goes back to the pool and somebody else can take it. If that number is printed on anything, published anywhere, or used for two-factor authentication, port it out or keep it deliberately rather than releasing it in a clean-up. Export the message and call logs first if you may need them as business records. Twilio retains them for a limited period and they go with the account.

Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
