How to cancel Ubisoft+

How are you billed?
Ubisoft+ can be cancelled direct, Amazon and Microsoft — and the steps are completely different. Check the last charge on your statement if you are not sure.
Cancelling Ubisoft+ directly

- What happens after you cancel
- This is the cancellation most likely to break a save file, so read it before you press. Access runs to the end of the subscription period, then the Ubisoft+ games stop. The catch is what happens to a game you ALSO own: it reverts to the edition you owned before subscribing, and Ubisoft warns that this can leave you unable to load saves made while you were on Ubisoft+ — a save written by a Gold or Ultimate edition may simply not open in the Standard one. Ubisoft's advice is to back up saved games before playing anything through Ubisoft+, and either resubscribe or buy the equivalent edition to keep using those saves. Ubisoft may keep your progression and in-game purchases in case you come back, but says this is at its discretion — do not treat it as a guarantee. Redeemed rewards are yours to keep, though the reward TIER resets 30 days after cancelling. Ubisoft+ bought through PlayStation, Xbox or Amazon Luna is billed there and has to be cancelled there.

Find the subscription and select Manage subscription
Choose to end the subscription and confirm

- What happens after you cancel
- Access runs to the end of the current billing period and Amazon shows you that date when you confirm — write it down, because it is the day to check your statement. Nothing is refunded for the unused part. This ends the subscription only: your Amazon account, and your account with the service itself, are both untouched.

Cancelling Ubisoft+ through Microsoft / Xbox

- What happens after you cancel
- This is cancelled in your Microsoft account rather than with the service itself, and Microsoft offers two different endings that are easy to confuse. Turning off recurring billing leaves the subscription running to the end of the period you have already paid for and simply stops the next charge. Cancelling outright can end it there and then, and for some subscriptions Microsoft returns the unused part of what you paid — which is worth knowing, because it is the opposite of how Apple and Google handle the same situation. Which of the two you are offered depends on the subscription and how recently you were charged, so read the screen rather than assuming. Neither closes your Microsoft account or removes anything you bought outright; only the subscription ends. If the service stored files for you, check what happens to them before you confirm — storage that came with the subscription goes away with it.
