- None — cancelling takes effect straight away.

- What happens after you cancel
- Treat this as an ARCHIVING job rather than a cancellation. Your accounting records have a legally required retention period — commonly six or seven years depending on the country — and the subscription is not what satisfies it. Export the reports, the invoice and bill history, the contacts, the bank transactions and the full data export, and keep them somewhere durable. Xero bills PER ORGANISATION, so a business with several entities has several subscriptions, and cancelling one leaves the rest. That is the usual reason a bill does not fall as expected. BANK FEEDS stop when the subscription does, and payroll, expenses and projects are add-ons billed on top. If you run payroll through Xero, complete the tax year's filings before you end it. Tell your accountant before access ends. They usually have their own view of the organisation and their own deadlines, and finding out after the fact is how a filing gets missed.

What else are you paying for?
Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
