Cancelling Zapier

About 20 minutes · Hard

  1. List what your Zaps actually do, before anything else

Zaps stop silently. Nobody gets an alert when an automation quietly stops firing.

  2. Sign in and open Settings, then Billing

  3. Cancel or downgrade the plan

  4. Rebuild or replace the automations that matter

What happens after you cancel
Zapier's risk is not losing data — it is things QUIETLY STOPPING. When you drop below the plan your automations need, Zaps turn off: leads stop reaching the CRM, invoices stop being filed, alerts stop being posted, and nothing announces it. The first sign is usually somebody asking why they never heard back. So write down what every live Zap does before you cancel, and decide for each one whether it needs replacing, rebuilding on the free tier, or genuinely nothing. Multi-step Zaps and premium app connections are paid features and are the first to go. Your Zaps are not deleted — they are turned off and are still there if you resubscribe. Task history and the run logs are limited on the free tier. An annual plan runs to the end of its term.

What else are you paying for?

Find possible recurring subscriptions in your bank statement. Cancel OS reads a statement export you give it and flags the charges that look recurring, for you to confirm.
